AOP ROSE D'ANJOU - Gamay and Grolleau.
- Geographical Situation : The centre of the Layon region.
- Sol : Clay / siliceous hillside, magnificently exposed due south / south-west.
- Vinification : The whole harvest is de-stemmed then macerated for a few hours in the press. Vinification at 18°C in steel vats.
- Color : An attractive salmon pink colour with garnet reflections.
- Nose : An explosion of flower and fruit, aromas of red (strawberry, raspberry, wild strawberry) and dark fruit (blackberry, bilberry).
- Mouth : A mellow attack confirming the wine's aromatic opulence, an acid base and a slightly caramelised finish giving a very harmonious expression.
- Recommendations : Can be drunk with very many mixed salads, grilled white meat, poultry and fish. Also a very nice wine to drink of a summer's afternoon.
- Service temperature : 8 to 10°C.
